Personally I would avoid Norton at all costs. Its very intrusive on the PC and nothing more than commercial junk IMO. All these security suites and whatever aren't really necessary and too overpriced. Free safe surfing is available and the people who make it available really do care, just make a small donation once a year or so from your poker winnings.

Anti virus I use Avast 4.8 Home Edition, just register/re-register it by e-mail annually - free

SpywareBlaster - a one-off installation which will place a ton of known malicious sites in your restricted sites zone so if you do accidentally land on them, you're safe. Just keep it updated as more malicious sites become known - free

SpywareGuard - another one-off installation which gives realtime protection whilst surfing - free

Zone alarm firewall - free

Mozilla firefox with McAfee site advisor installed for all my random surfing - free

Always keep windows security patches updated - free

Keep java updated - free

Hassle-free surfing
