 John Henry
back in the 1980's there was a great horse named John Henry. He was supposedly ill bred and sold cheap..He became a champion and my bro and i won a lot of cash on him a couple times..
One time I bet against John Henry...it was a big race at The Meadowlands. JH was a HUGE prohibitive favorite and I just thought Id be a wise guy and play a mess of exactas, leaving John Henry out..I got lucky...JH did not fire that night ( a rare occurance) and the exacta paid almost 400$..GOD! that was more than 20 years ago...some things ya just dont forget. |
