"Lanni and Gary Loveman, Harrah's Entertainment's chairman and CEO, agreed that Internet poker will be legalized ahead of other casino games, partially because of its popularity. Loveman predicted online poker would be legalized in the United States in the next 18 months to two years. Lanni predicted 12 months to 18 months."

I think this part is especially true. Nothing is going to happen now with election time in the U.S. right around the corner but afterwards I can definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel. I think it's stupid that our government is paying compensation to other countries for their onine poker losses when a gold mine in tax revenue is available right in the US. I know that most sites, especailly Poker Stars and Full Tilt are reputable but I definitely would feel comfortable with a company that was based in the US too (provided their name isn't Enron ).
