BETTER GET THERE - A JOURNEY
The purpose of this blog is to teach myself (and all the readers) how to become a successful poker player. This means starting from $2000 and working my way up to big games.
I will post statistics and strategies as well as stories and facts from the "real life" away from the computer.
Getting to be a successful poker player is not just about playing poker and thinking about it. It's also taking care of your health (both physical and mental), planning your future and other things that have nothing to do with poker.
Journey to big games starts now and I ... better get there.

Ohhh limit Texas Hold'em, very nice. I started my poker career by playing short handed limit texas and it's still really nice to play it in tournaments from time to time. Let's see how this one goes. I try to update my situation during break(s).
Break 1 - 5745
I started in a really good table where I had total aggro on my right. His vpip was 54% and PFR 35%. Unfortunately our table broke and I couldn't get value out of him. 2nd table is kinda good also, with loose aggressive Finn on my right.
My best hands were AA, KK, AQs and AQ so not too many good hole cards but still two top hands. Aces won me a big pot, kings small pot and other than those I have won with my semibluffs which I didn't have to show down.
All in all I have to be really happy with the first hour of the tournament.
Break 2 - 3315
2nd hour was not good for me. I had few good hands incl. KK but I still lost bunch of chips. Either I was racing against pair or was just 3 outted. I also made two mistakes which cost me 900 chips and one other call down which I think was a mistake, cost me 400 chips.
Break 3 - 13715
Big pair of the hour was JJ, beaten by A9. Once again I lost 800 chips because I'm a frigging station. After I got moved to a non-rigged table (lol) I hit my oesd for big pot. Also hit two times two pair against top pair and again nice pots so I can be happy for a moment.
Break 4 - 15155
First 20min were really good for me. My AK and AJ held up and got me up to 20k. A bit after that my KK was cracked by AQ and I was down to 18k. Then some more action and down to 15k.
Beginning of the next level I managed to get back to 20k when my AJ held against A4. And then gradually I slid down to 15k.
Break 5 - 38284
Up and down. I was already down to 10k but got back to 20 near the end of the level. Lost some on a bluff, some on a call down, which was really bad play on my part, and then just got value from few good hands.
At the end of the level and few excellent spots I'm sitting with nice amount of chips. Most of the stack is a result of two ak's and two bluff catchers against aggro players.
Bubble burst and we're in the money.
Break 6 - 67974
I have to admit that I'm getting a bit too tired to write more than update of chip count. Let's see how far I'll get...
Break 7 - 33474
Break 8 - 46281
Ended up 90.
