BETTER GET THERE - A JOURNEY

The purpose of this blog is to teach myself (and all the readers) how to become a successful poker player. This means starting from $2000 and working my way up to big games.

I will post statistics and strategies as well as stories and facts from the "real life" away from the computer.

Getting to be a successful poker player is not just about playing poker and thinking about it. It's also taking care of your health (both physical and mental), planning your future and other things that have nothing to do with poker.

Journey to big games starts now and I ... better get there.

About yesterday's $530 NL texas. I finished in the money (again). I played well and won some flips when needed but didn't quite make it in the end. To be able to win one of these one really need to hit the rush in some point and get paid by his good hands. It doesn't really help if you get 3x aces and no action.

Oh well today's event is my favorite game, pot limit Omaha. I will try to post some results again.

Break 1 - 4310

Nothing spectacular. Doubled up through aces and then lost few pots. Game is wild and full of action I have to admit. Unfortunately biggest stack is right next to me on my left side and he likes to call a lot. That makes everything difficult for me.

Out during 4th level. I flop trip treys with ace kicker on k33 flop. Turn A and the big stack cr me all in. He had kings full so GG. Better luck next time.
