Default Agonizing fold with flopped 2 pair (with poll)

UTG (the villain) min raises and everyone calls around. I call in with my 78 suited connector and 78K flops with no flush draw. First to act throws a 50% pot bet out of $6, the villain instaraises 5x to $30 and it folds around to me. I had watched quite a few weak and garbage hands that this person had played and I was almost certain he didn't have a set here.

The problem is that I had built up a nice stack on this table but the villain had an equally big stack. I was afraid to push it because if it would have went all in and he flipped over a suited K8 or K7 here, it would have just killed me. What would you have done in this situation with the information presented?

I fold here, but I'm a bit of a nit.

I hate to stay in a pot where two opponents have shown strength and even if you improve on turn or river you still may have second best hand.

You also have very little of your own money in the pot.

Interesting hand. Tough fold, I think that you're ahead here. A minimum raise PF means AA or AK most likely. Could he do it with KK? I highly doubt it as most players wouldn't want somebody with Ace rag coming in the pot cheaply.

I don't think you can put him on a set of Ks (although this is a possibility) so I'm guessing he had A/K or AA.

Even so, folding is never a bad play, so if you felt you were behind then that's always the best move.

With what information you gave, his range probably looked something like this AK-KQ-KJ-KT-QQ-JJ-TT (those cuz of the 5x re-raise to see if his hand was still the best). Unlikly hands include JT, QT, T9 (for open ended).

Honestly, you were ahead in this hand but I would have jammed this pot to hell and back, because if he had AK, i'm making money assuming an ace, king or two running cards that are above my 2pair to counterfeit it (Like assuming Turn/river were both Js). This is one of those spots that as a cash game player, go out on a limb, gamble some, because if you are wrong or he sucks out, you not only gain experience but insight and notes on the guy, and yes it cost you some money but it is a good % gamble here because he doesn't have trips.

On the other side, if this was a tourney, and we were even stacked like that, insta fold.

This pot is not large enough for me to be willing to lose 244BB on bottom two pair. Nitty or not, I just let it go. If you call this and the turn looks fairly safe, he's probably going to be betting at least $80. At that point, you're practically committed on the river if it's not an Ace or King. And who wants to go broke after flopping bottom two with a deep stack?
