Default Busted my bankroll =[

Well I officially busted my bankroll today. I had $500 in my account and I was playing cash games at the $.25-.5 stakes sitting with 25 at each table. I was doing bad and down like $100 but had one table up to $135. My account was at $240 in and rest at tables. I continued to run card dead for another 500 hands and maybe won 8 hands. I was down to about $230 total with almost all at the one table now. got the table up to $208. I lost the last $22 i had playing a heads up. I got locked in a big hand after another 200 card dead hands and flopped trips on a rainbow flop with no straite chance. I bet out pot ($12) and got an insta all in from a guy with $300 at the table. (deep stack he tripled up like 3 hands prior.) I think wow I got 888 and only J83 showing and he must be pushing me around or has AA or might be trying to win big holding 10 9. I think a bit and deside I cant fold... Bankroll at risk... He shows 33 for trip 3s turn comes a 5 and river comes a 3................................................. .............. Well a one outer for quads cost me a $420 pot and my entire roll. Looks like in outta the gamer for awhile. Goodluck at the tables everyone. It will be months before I can save up enough to get a solid roll started again.

It's a pity you dont apply BR management because you do sound a decent player. Why buy in out of your depth with half a buy-in? It makes no sense and I cant see how you can play optimal poker.

You say you went card dead for 100's of hands, well think about it, for these 100's of hands you were paying expensive blinds. Why not just buy in properly at 0.10/0.25 with a full 100bb buyin?. You win the same amount when you get it all-in, you have far more fold equity with a deeper stack and only pay half the blind price when card dead.

Seriously, if you dont want to go busto again apply bankroll management. If you really want to play higher limit then play a proper Short Stack Strategy ie buy in for 20bb's.

Default guilty here of big buyins

Until the Jesus 5% rule had officially been established by Chris Ferguson, I would also hit the peaks and valleys. Bankroll management is the key to continued profits in online play.
Still never made a deposit, however, I have had to humble myself to lower buyins.
Keep building that bankroll!

Even the lowest game of .01. .02 is going to be wayyyy better than fake $. we all run bad sometimes. Even the pros admit to busting out more than once in thier lives. Don't be too hard on yourself or let it get to you. You obviously got some rake back coming so give em heck. Get back on the horse play a bit lower a play some of the best poker ever.

Good luck.

May the flop be with you young Jedi.

You gotta move down sometimes bro.

A few weeks ago, I dropped around $1200 in one day Soo ya, I moved down a few limits until I can restore my BR back to playing condition. Nothing wrong with it......Varience and Karma are ......bad words though!
