i hate heads up cuz the other player goes all in on every hand

HU, whether it be in an MTT, SNG or a 1-on-1 game, certainly requires skill to win. Even a seasoned player in HU may have to depend on the actual cards they get to win the game; LUCK becomes a most definite factor in this sense.

As Lady said, making it to the HU point of an MTT is a feat unto itself!
