i used to play n/l hold-em but for the past year i only play razz because of 2 reasons 1st there are less bad beats and also i feel the better player usually wins where in hold-em there are far to many players making hands on crazy calls which im sure most of you cant wait to play a person like that its just i find razz to be more profitable for the good player. now my question what do you feel is a good bankroll to start with if you are playing in a 9 player table with 5-10 stakes?

have 500X BB in your roll usually. but for limit I think it would be safe at 250-400X but if you swing below 250X then you best move down to a stake where your at 500X again. I used to play cash games but I switched to MTTs full time. seems bad beats cant take $50 in one hand in them lol

From what I recall reading, 300 big bets is the standard minimum bankroll for limit poker games. Of course, if you play games where 4 raises are possible (most sites cap it at a bet and 3 raises) or something like that, you might consider having a slightly larger bankroll.

I also think there is nothing wrong with playing below your bankroll. So if you want to play $0.50/$1.00 with a $12,000 bankroll... that's fine. But normally, $300 should be enough to handle the swings.

I forget where I originally read this but I believe it was discussed on another forum where they were talking about "Risk of Ruin" and assumed an average 'winning' limit player.

If you are a losing player, no bankroll will be large enough to avoid going broke eventually. But if you're break-even or a winning player, 300xBB should be fine. More is always better.

There is no max buy-in for limit games. You could sit with your entire bankroll at a $0.05/$0.10 limit table.

And if you're really recommending that a $6,000 bankroll is enough to play $5/$10NL... I'd have to forcefully disagree. You're way below the proper bankroll for that (which would be $20,000+). Although, $6,000 is plenty for $5/$10 Limit.
