Default My first royal flush

Hello friends,

The wife and I went out for some no fold'em hold'em (1/2 limit is all she'll play) at the local casino last night. Near the end of our session, I was dealt KQ of diamonds on the button. Of course 5-6 players limp into every pot and a late position raise in this game does nothing but build the pot, as no one ever folds after they've already committed $1, so I call as well and the blinds check their options. The flop smacks me upside the head, running out 9 10 J, with the 10 and J being diamonds. The other players check to me, and I obviously bet out. I get two callers and we move onto the turn. Turn is an offsuit 4. First player checks, second player leads into me now! I certainly don't want to end the hand without giving myself a chance to see the river and make my RF, so I just call, as does the first player. River obviously was the beautiful A of diamonds. First player checks, second bets into me again. Now, I could really care less about winning the measly pot, my attention shifts to the Monte Carlo board. Of course I raise, the first player folds and the bettor calls, proudly tabling AJ for top two. I flip my cards face up to the dealer and say, "I got this!" When all is said and done, the floorman brings me $1350.

I guess we can eat this month afterall.....

Nice congrats on the big win! I've had Royal online before, but as of yet it still eludes me in live games. Bravo and well played!

I think every poker player I know has hit a royal flush at one point or another but me lol

I've hit a K high and Q high straight flush severla times, but no royal flushes.

Congrats...and enjoy the money. As a matter of fact, spoil your wife tonight since she got you to play the 1/2 game!

always nice to win a big pot with great hands - most times the other players fold too early

royal flushes only count in 5 card draw or stud. in holdem its overkill and an action killer.
