Default PokerNordica lets you create private ring games.

I was just playing around (can anyone tell I have too much time on my hand) and discovered that you can create your own private rings games on PokerNordica (actually, the whole Merge network and they're visible across skins). So if, for example, we wanted to have a weekly low stakes NL game for our friends here... we can create a $0.05/$0.10NL table (no 2/4c sadly) with a password and only give it out to people we want to invite.

It could give all the PTOTW players, who didn't win, a second shot at the money if we were to have a little 5/10cNL game running right after the tournament ends.

You can also create your own custom sit and gos just as easily but I figured the cash game was more interesting. If you create the 5/10cNL table... it has a minimum $2 buy-in... and could be a lot of fun.

That's just me... I know I have some screws loose but I thought it was cool. None of the other sites I play on have this feature (that I know of). This is the first place I was able to find where you can create private ring games (especially shocking because it's also for such low limits).

So what do you think? Is this cool? Would you play in a private ring game with members here after the PTOTW tournament and test your skill in a cash game?

If we were to do this, we would have to give the losers $2 to buy into the ring game. I played on there because of the freeroll. I never made a deposit on there, and I have money. So if someone were to be like me, and create an account, not make a deposit, and lose the freeroll, how would they play in those?

I would think it would be for people who have some cash on the site -- either from previous freerolls or from depositing. I'm not suggesting we hand money out to the losers. You've got to have money to make money... a sad but true fact in the poker world. Well, I have played in games with IOUs in play... but that's a real bad idea.

For example, say you got knocked out and Lilady won... you would have a shot at playing her in a ring game and getting something from her.

I never meant for it to be a PTOTW only thing. It would be for any member here, regardless of nomination, that had money on the site. I figure the people most likely to have money on there are the PTOTW players... either from depositing or from winning. Not all those players will have money but they might in the future. Nothing will stop them from getting nominated again and winning it. . . and then going to the cash tables and robbing some more money from the players.

Well I'm looking to transfer my money from Nordica to FTP. Do you have a FTP account with real money on it?

I do (more than enough to move your entire bankroll actually) but I am not able to transfer it. One of the things you must have to transfer money on FTP is a successful deposit history. As I have never deposited, I can't transfer money.

If I could, I would. Because I am looking to get it off FTP at some point. I might just ask for a check eventually... but that could take a while if I need to verify my identity.

Do I need a succesful deposit history to recieve the money? Because if not, can't you transfer it to someone else on here who does and they could transfer it to me.

No, you don't need a deposit history to receive money... only to send it. Naturally, if I can't send money (because I have never deposited) I am not able to send it to someone else either. If I could send it to them, I could just as easily send it to you.
