Default Poll: Full Tilt Iron Man Challenge

I just got Iron Man status for the first time this month on Full TIlt (started playing there in August). I was just curious how many others on this forum participate in this and at what level do they typically achieve every month. I would prefer that only those who play on Full Tilt answer this question but I made a category for those who don't play on there to respond as well.

Was it worth the time? How much time did it take and what levels did you play? Did you win money on the month? I have an account on full tilt but mostly play at AP. After AP's recent nonsense I am thinking of switching sites. If you dont mind me asking what kind of a bankroll you used also?

It's definitely worth it over the long haul, especially if you collect the medals, which you can turn into cash later once you collect enough of them. I would usually play 3-4 tables, sometimes 6 tables of 200 NL. It only takes an hour, little over an hour to hit 200 FTP this way so not long at all every day. October wasn't too great to be honest (not a disaster though) but August and September were good mostly (had Bronze then Silver respectively). I think in the future though I'm just gonna concentrate on 2 tables, maybe 3 if I'm playing a tourney too. I've found that I'm more successful this way.

I play on Fulltilt, i Usually get Gold Or Iron every month...usually about 500 points a day....and then i get about 600$ from rakeback, 5000 Points on FTP and then 100 Medals a month, also get about 120 dollars from the SnG leaderboard..so that risidual income does well if u want to switch sites

wow, those are some nice accomplishments. I'd be happy with just the $600 Rakeback. I think my best RB to date was last month at $150 or so.
And that was a big month. lol.

I think you only need to make 200 points a day for 25 days out of the month.

I voted don't participate, since I've only just started playing on FTP. I also don't want to ruin my bankroll right away, lol. So I'm sticking with the small entry fee tourneys and small blinds cash tables.

My buddy was telling me that there is a new Iron man thing for playing every single day. He said you get into a $2000 free roll if you post at leat 1 Full Tilt Point per day.
If you have no life, you may be able to pad your roll with something like that as well. I doubt that there are that many people that seriously play every single day.
I could be wron though.

You don't have to play every day to participate in the Iron Man Challenge thing. It goes monthly, but you have different levels for different options. For instance:

points per day 50 100 200

15 days -- Bronze Silver

20 days bronze silver gold

25 days silver gold iron

Then you get the following Iron Man points per level at the end of the month:

Iron 100
Gold 70
Silver 40
Bronze 25

And if you reach any Iron Man level in the consecutive month, the amount of Iron Man Points you receive each month increases about 20% up to 300 per month for Iron Level and up to 60 per month for Bronze Level. And you also get into a special freeroll each month for reaching a level.

So, it's actually a great program. You get points just for playing, which means you are also building up for Full Tilt Points and your Rakeback. It's really a multi-layered all inclusive type promotion.

$200 NL??? My god, I can barely afford to put $50 into my account every month....But I do deposit it monthly and have enjoyed playing at FTP.

must admit i have never fully understood what the iron man entails. i play just about every day but only in low buy in tourneys so i guess i am never gonna qualify for any iron man level.

I've tried to make the Iron Man status, but I don't have the bankroll for it. I tend to start out with $50 as my bankroll. Thats VERY low, so I can't make any status. I wish I had the money to gamble like that, but for now, I do with what I got.

Apparantly any online sites think people with small bankrolls should lose there money, because I lost over $300 on Pokerstars (really was only $20, but I got it up to $300) and it wasn't because I played bad, it was because of donkeys, and suckouts, and cold decks.

I reached silver 3 times gold once and bronze a couple times too. this is my first year playing and I appreciate the bonus medals and 20 000$/30 000$ free rolls. There is a promotion too in december where you get paid ( ex: 50$/every time you reached silver in any month this year). So I accumelated at least 350$ just for playing. Without counting all he FTPs and leaderboard bonuses. Nice to receive little gifts from time to time for your dedication. I play exclusivly on FTP. Never tried another site cause I figure its pretty hard to match all of these extra promos. Good luck..... see ya out there!

I play at Full Tilt allthough I do not have rakeback there.. I think it is the greatest site. I hardly play at absolute poker where I have rakeback. Just don't like the software and the VIP program. It is very easy to qualify for the iron category. I play about 1.5-2 hours a day 4 tabling at 0.5-1nl and you make at least 200 points a day. Just too bad I signed up for Full Tilt before I made an account at this site. I mailed them and asked for the rakeback but they didn't give it. So the only way to get it is to cheat i guess.. or does anyone knows an other way?
