Default Ring or Tourney

Do you like Ring or Tourney the best?
I like ring the best, I like to be able to leave when or if i hit it big
I find tourney play very stressful.

I would much rather play a ring game. At a tournament the amount of money that you can win is predetermined. If you are playing a ring game there is no limit to what you can win as long as the other players at the table will continue to play and have money for you to take.

Jotting down your toughts for my next time playing.

I'm often engaged in tournaments and must agree that is very stressful.

I agree that ring games are preferred by me. A tournament ties me up too long of a commitment. A ring game, you can jump in and out of... especially handy if the cards just aren't coming.

Also, "idiot" players are punished more $$$ for their stupid plays in a ring game, at least as a direct deposit to your bankroll...

Ring games have the great benefit of being "scoutable". By that I mean that you can follow the action on any given table and choose your opponents according to your preferences. With tournaments you'd have to have a big database of data on the players to have any sort of info on the players when the tournament begins. Once you sit down at a tournament you won't be leaving before you win or go broke, which can sometimes be a hassle. Additionally, when you find a fish at a tournament he's gone when he goes broke, but in a ring game he could just buy in for some more chips.
All in all I'll usually trade any of the excitement provided by tournaments for the somewhat more boring but ultimately more practical ring games.
