Default A rule for omaha h/l

omaha h/l is my favorite game

i see there is a freeroll coming up at the end of the month....

for new omaha HL players, here is some advice:

Don't raise low with more than 2 players in the pot; odds are you will be quartered.

Omaha Hi Low is my favorite game as well.
Too bad there aren't as many freerolls.

To reply to your remark:
It depends on you cards.
When you f.i. have the high locked (let's say a flush),
you can bet the hell out of it.

And also: if there are 4 players in the game you might get quartered,
but if 2 players have the same low you still get your money back.

Default He said don't raise low

Very good advice.

And if you don't Play omaha Hi/lo good advice is learn how to.

If you want to be able to read a hold em board, After a year of playing that you will just look at the board and see it all.

You'll see flushes and str8s and anything that can possibly beat you alot more. Why? because you have to.

But if you've never played before I suggest starting at the lowest limit possible. .01/.02. Why? Because you'll get REAL Omaha hi/lo poker experience and not FAKE $ Omaha hi/lo experience. Even at the lowest level possible, people play differently when it's thier own money involved and not simply a click of the mouse button to get more.

You also won't loose a huge chunk of $ just to learn a game.

Another piece of advice to save you alot of money in NLO8.... If you have the nuts and someone makes a massive overbet, they will have the same nuts hand but also a redraw such as a flush draw or a set. This usually happens when you both have the broadway straight. If you play on pokerstars you will always lose to this freeroll, but never hit it yourself .
