Default Side pots/rake

I was in a tough situation earlier where shoving the turn and winning the sidepot just about justified my actions, or so I thought. The final rake was $1.10 with 96c being shafted from a $4.96 side pot leaving me winning just $4. The winner of the main pot pocketed $17.06 paying just 14c rake. Is this normal?

Not at all. Pots and side pots are normally raked according to their size. A $17.20 main pot and a $4.96 side pot would produce $1.10 in rake... $0.86 from the main pot and $0.24 from the side pot.

The main pot should have been: $16.34
The side pot should have been: $4.72

Where did this happen?

I would contact the site and ask for clarification. That's messed up.

Let me know what sort of response you get and what they say. I've never seen something that odd before. Even in live games they rake the side and main pots proportionally.

Will do although I doubt there will be any rush on their part. The annoying thing is I would've given up the hand had I known the sidepot was gonna be so small, the extra 72c made a big difference and I wasnt pushing the extra $2.48 just to make my investment in the main pot $1.52 less if you see what I mean.
