Default Where do you sit?

I often hear players talking about which seat they always seem to win in. Do you have a favourite seat? I know that some online sites have seat selectors where you can always sit in the same one but at a live casino what do you do? Personally, I will sit at any seat in a live casino until either the 2, 4 or 9 seat become available. I guess that is because I feel more comfortable in those seats and therefore feel I can play better.

I don't really have any particular seat that I "have" to sit in but I do think that in either live games or online there are certain seats for that particular session that seem to get all the best hands. Especially in live games you will see someone turn over the winning hand time and time again when you are getting dealt rags many many times over.

Well, in a live game, its not often I have a choice of seats, but whenver I do, I look to keep the loose/ agressive/ bigstacked players on my right and the tight/lowstacked players on my left because I always want those types of people acting before me so I know what they're going to do before its my turn to act..

I dont mind where I sit to be honest, although if I had to choose I would be the last to call on the first hand.

I like to get a feel for the styles of the other players.

just wondering, does it really matter or is this just a personal belief among players?

I try not to worry about where I sit because if I stay in the game long enough it's going to change anyway. Eventually, I'll be next to the guy with the next largest amount of chips no matter where I start.

I try not to be too superstitious during the game. If I worry about small stuff I lose sight of the big picture. It's better for me to just get into the game and focus on winning.

Focus is the key. Besides, if you play your cards right then it doesn't really matter that much where you start the game.

I will sit anywhere as long as I get to play poker. I love to play so it really doesn't matter what seat I am in. I would sit on the dealer's lap if I had to in order to get into the game. I pretty much have the same luck no matter where I am sitting.

I don't have a particular seat to play for poker. It is because that when I win I usually be sitting different seat almost each time.

I'm not too picky about where I sit but I do not like anyone sitting behind me and watching me play. They may be giving facial expressions to my decisions that others can see. Plus I dont want somebody sitting behind me analyzing my way of playing so that they can use it against me at some time in the future.

I usually prefer the 4,5, or 6 seat so that I can see everyones face and get a read on them

It really doesn't matter to me where I sit. Online there are a few exceptions though. There are several players I have played a whole lot with in the same tables, and I have fairly good notes on them (and pokerace hud) helps a great deal though. These few players are the ones that if I can't sit to their left, (hence act after them), I just might go to another table simply because these few players are very good, and extremely aggresive.

Anywhere there is no smoking, assuming I can even find such a place (yeah right!)

I also do not like people looking over my shoulder, makes me nervous.

I don't have a preference really. As long as the chair is comfortable, I'm in.
