Why do people bluff?

I was recently in a cash game where the bluffing was so readable, I had to call.
Everytime this person would raise, I would call, regardless.
Since I knew that this person would raise no matter what, it didn't matter.
When the nutz flopped, I would bet and a raise was there again.
A call usually ended in disapointment for the villian.(even a raise the suka would call).

He raised again, and again.

Finally I had enough. If he raised, I would be ALL IN, regardless.

A fold usually resulted in the villian.

Why?... because a well timed and executed bluff can win you a lot of money.

BTW, going all-in on the villain is not a good thing to do. You cost yourself money. He was obviously going to keep paying you off. Shoving just keeps more of his money from entering the pot.
