| all these websites are all about the money so if your broke thats the way you'll stay even if you work your ass off but if your already rich you have a lucky horseshoe up your ass. i guess luck goes more toward the rich people i know it sure as hell aint around me |

| I know I will never be rich because I cannot justify putting myself in debt for years for thousands of dollars, just for a piece of paper saying I know how to do something, when I know I already know how... and yes, I'm referring to college. Thing is, I am naturally mechanically inclined, so I'm always repairing things...computers, cell phones, digital cameras, houses, cars, you name it, 99% of the time I can fix it...and I don't mean "jerry rigging" things, I mean properly and cleanly repaired. I programmed my first computer at age 7...I still remember the name of it...it was by Apple, and was called the VIC 20. All it was, was a keyboard and a book about 4 inches thick, full of programming commands. In 2 days, I had it done. They've tested and re-tested my IQ over the years, from kindergarten on up to a few years ago, and it always comes out to the top 5% in the country, of all the tests, averaging about 160. Yet this means only that I get bored very easily, and has no weight on the world as far as employment goes. ![]() Anyway, I can't get a job anywhere as an IT person, or a repair person for someplace like Sprint or Kodak, because I don't have a $30,000 piece of paper from some college saying "oh yeah, we saw it...she can do it!" So I'm doomed to a life of poverty (and yes, I said poverty...I don't make the nationally considered amount for poverty level, which is considered $15,000 per year...I average quite a bit less than that). However, I am able to make up for shortages through poker, and for that I'm always grateful. I may never be rich from it, but I have disciplined myself not to take unnecessary risks, so I make a pretty steady amount over a set period of time, and it's always there when needed. ![]()

| Incorrect, All this site does is give away money. rakeback has never asked me for a red cent, but have given chance after chance to win some cash, thanks Rakeback. There is a free arcade here I do not use often (I am usually too busy playing poker), but appears to have some cool games. Website and software maintenance are not cheap, but Rakeback keeps everything running smoothly. Any Rake Tracking issues are addressed promptly and personally as I have seen through out the forums. The site is up and running when ever I visit. Rakeback is constantly adding promotions to give us more opportunity for free poker cash. Not to mention the monthly and daily Rakeback they get me at the poker rooms. This site makes money off of me, but it is money that would have otherwise gone to the poker room. Instead, Rakeback has secured a percentage of my rake from my online poker rooms for life, they get a little, I get a little. Rakeback is here for us and they continue to prove it. Thanks Again Rakeback ![]() ![]() |

| Vito, I could be wrong in this, but I think he may have been referring to poker sites, not Rakeback...I dunno, but that's what I took from it... ![]()

Sorry, but after 13 years (which should have been 9 or 10 if mom had let them skip me up like they wanted to), I am thinking to myself, "Great, and then once College is over with, there'll be something else required..." ![]() Personally, I feel the cost of health care and education these days is simply preposterous. Especially given that it's been noted over and over that teachers barely make enough to live...If this is the case, then where is all that money going, if not to the educators? And what's more, if teachers are not justifiably compensated for their efforts, then it's no wonder American education is lacking as compared with other countries. Our teachers have no motivation, and if they were educated by the same system by which we were educated, then who's to say they are any more intelligent than the people they teach? Sorry...I always end up off on a tangent on this topic LOL ![]()

| I'm sorry, but if you think college is not worth the money, then by all means don't attend. But then don't complain that people won't hire you because you don't have a college degree. I'm glad that you have a high IQ, use it to your advantage. |
| ||||
| Oh, dear, I'm not complaining, simply stating an opinion...or observations, if you will...nothing more. I have shelter, clothing, food, a loving partner, and two pets. I'm content. I have all I need. That's all I can ask for. Money does not make people happy, regardless of popular belief. Money offers nothing more than material happiness, but with that always follows despair. I'd rather have little and be truly happy than have a million dollars and be miserable. ![]() As far as making use of my "high IQ" I do so daily...helping others brings me more joy than any paper bill, because like a college diploma, money is only paper... ![]()

| I think what she's trying to say is that college is just one of those steps that you have to take in order to get to another step in life. Like when you graduate High School, everyone always said: 'Now you can do anything you want. But if you want a good life, go to college.' And at college, it will be: 'Great, you graduated college. But if you want a good life, you have to blah blah blah.' Am I right? Or totally off? |

| Pretty close, Gamer...pretty close It reminds me of aging...you know, all your life you are told the following: Once you are 18/19 (depending on where you live), you can buy tobacco products. Once you are 21, you can buy alcoholic beverages. Once you are 25, your insurance rates decrease. Once you are 55, you can begin withdrawing your 401K, if needed. Once you are 65, you can retire (if you're lucky). But......if your over 65, God help you if you need health insurance. ![]() There's always another standard and another new limit on our lives and what we can do with them. As time passes, the limits change, and the same goes for education. There is never a satisfied constant for these things. ![]()

| You know what, I am not worried because one day, I WILL have accomplished something great, I will have made my name a force. I don't need a college degree (even though I somewhat have one) to say that "hey, I know what I am doing here, respect me" I will grind it out, sweat it out, bleed it out to make my name. Like the new TI song says "no matter what!" It doesn't have to be just poker or just electronical engineering. It can be ANYTHING that you wanna become great in. You might have to work alittle harder to get to the position that someone with a college degree starts in, but you can and will get there Too many times in life, people look at the short-term and forget who they are as a person. They forget their dream, and become a drone to make other people money. They just hope one day, to not retire broke and to live as peacefully as possible. You gotta have a dream, because without a dream, you are already dead. I know what my dream is, and I will pursue it until the day I die. Have you found what your dream is or have you already forgotten what it is? |

| I agree, Wyte. Everyone has a purpose, and my accomplishments thus far in life are great, though not measured by the dollar. I take pride and solace in knowing that the things I've done don't bear a price tag... ![]()

| Too bad, soo many people live like drones and don't realize this is their only life, their only shot to make a difference in the world, and the people around them. Everyday is a new opporunity for the advancement of self and others but soo many people neglect that. |

| Soo true...but those of us who look at the bigger picture always find Waldo ![]()
