Wow. I didn't know about the flush possibility on the turn. Lol, she had so many chances to take that pot, but I remember when I used to be that bad. We all had to start somewhere .

I don't think her play is completely terrible. It was very passive and she lost a pot that she could have won by betting but she might have had doubts as to where she was and didn't want to make an aggressive play and go broke. I think calling with AJ in her spot is defendable... of course, I believe in betting out on the flop (if she's able to fold top-pair to a raise) or check-raising the flop (if she's willing to commit with top pair, top kicker). That's really the big point of the hand.
