Gah, apparently like 3 mins after you've been eliminated you can't chat anymore. It's annoying when you've just started a conversation.

Yeah, one of the most annoying things about the PTOTW is the inability to rail.

But it is what it is.

Thanks rakeback, no card love towards the end (would get semi-decent hands and would be beat barley in HU play). But I still tried my best and made it. Always love the layout when it's double stacked with 5 places paid.

Yeah, I hate not being able to rail. It wouldn't matter to me that much if it were a regular tourney, but I tend to stay around on these just to see how it goes down, unless I'm having to leave.

Default A Poem

I saw Clearwheezy's poem which inspired me to write this little piece about his plight:

There was a man named Clearwheezy who was at his church,
looking for God in a valiant search.

Rather he pray, than poker he play,
most of the game did he miss, due to his delay.

Round to six did the table come,
while churchgoers sang hymns and Clearwheezy did hum.

When finally the Pastor said: Let’s all say amen,
off Wheezy flew like a quick wren.

His computer was left on to see how he did,
eager to see if made any quid.

The tourney paid five but Wheezy didn’t know it,
Pocket 8s were dealt when he sat first by the felt.

Gamer said: wait one more orbit and in the money you’ll be,
but too excited to realize Clearwheezy pushed with glee.

On the flop was an Ace and his opponent’s A3 did he trail,
next thing you know, Clearwheezy hit the rail.

By five chips did Braveboat make 5 dollars for heaven’s sake.
For not a hand did he play, how could he win in this way?

Clearwheezy was so upset no condolences could offset,
the pain that he felt by the hand he had been dealt.

Next time he plea, on time he would be.

Another invitation is all that he seeks,
no church he promised for several more weeks !

OH MY GOD! I CAN NOT STOP LAUGHING!

Sorry, but that is just TOO funny. I think this will go down in PTOTW history is the game where someone made the money with 5 chips.

But we should have a one time contest to promote rakeback with either a poem, rap, song, or anything else that someone can write up (can even be a short story). Then, we have that contest held at FTP (since that tends to draw more customers every time we have a freeroll their). Make it exclusive, and rakeback gets more customers, we get a freeroll, and we show our poetic side.

What does everyone think? If not, then I could probably do a mini contest if rakeback isn't willing to host it.

Very nice Gainer. I love it.

I don't think we want to come off as poetic. Wouldn't it make more sense to have a rap battle or maybe a breakdance battle against the competition or against Full Tilt. Free publicity, and we can air it on The Game Show Network. haha.

Gamer, are you saying that whoever writes out a poem gets into the tourney?

I am not saying whoever writes a poem gets into a tourney. I am saying whoever writes the best poems/short storys/rap/haiku/etc. (as picked by the mods here at rakeback) would get into a tourney. That could be anywhere from one person per catagorie to 5 people per catagorie to 20 people. It all depends on how much publicity they want to get on their website, the prizepool, etc.

So I am and I am not saying that Clearwheezy.

Edit: Gainer, you forgot to mention in the poem that the same person who told him to wait was the same person who KO'd him. It just makes it that much harsher.
