First post on this forum, but seems like a cool place...

Played a hand today that I'd be interested to hear peoples' thoughts on. I do play money on Full Tilt to practice, so I was playing today at 25 50k NL (highest ring game level) deep stack table. My opponent and I both had the deep-stack buyin of 10 million chips (200 bbs). He limps from UTG and I call from the SB with 10C 9D. BB checks and the flop comes KC, QC, JC. I lead pot size for obvious reasons, BB folds, original raiser makes essentially a min-raise to 500k. I re-raise to about 1.5 mil, to try to gauge where I'm at in the hand. He re-raises to 4 mil. My immediate reaction is that I must be beat, looks like a flush. Problem is I only have a few hands of history on this guy and he had played a pot badly (at least in my estimation) a few hands earlier. So I don't know for sure that he's not bad enough to overplay hands like KQ, KJ, maybe JJ, in that spot. Still, most hands have me beat: any flushes or A10, essentially. I somehow decide that since I don't have much history on this guy the standard play is to just shove here, so I do. He turns over AC 10H, so all I'm drawing to is the 9C for the straight flush, or an A for the split.

Obviously it's a pretty sick hand, but one that I think was avoidable in retrospect. If I had thought harder about his hand ranges, I think I would have realized how few hands I can beat in that spot. And the way he played the hand he was clearly super-strong.

But anyway, let me know what you think:

Just a cooler I should move on from?
