Default Email

At the bottom of the email notification there is an unsubscribe link, that is it. If you respond to a blog, there is a drop down option defaulted to subscribe, change this before saving response or when creating a thread.

While you are viewing a thread, look up on the black taskbar (where the arcade link is) and you will see "USER CP"
Click on that.

On the left, you will see "EDIT OPTIONS" Click on that.

Scroll down until you see an area that says "DEFAULT SUBSCRIPTION MODE" you will see a dropdown box. If you do not want to subscribe to ANY posts, click on "DO NOT SUBSCRIBE"

THEN YOU WILL NO LONGER RECEIVE EMAILS.

Just remember after you click "DO NOT SUBSCRIBE" you have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and click "SAVE CHANGES" I left that part out by mistake.
