Hi,

I noticed that there is a "chip" in my UserCP. What are these for? How does one get them?

Thanks and gL

Hey liglierto,

We're rolling out new features in our forum, and one of them is user chips.

Users will get chips from different activities, that they can later user for certain things, like playing games in our arcade section (brand new feature) and possibly in the future you will be able to redeem them for gifts and stuff like that.

Hope you like the idea!

Yep, nice feature. It looks like an "activity meter" to me.
It's good to see you guys keep improving things to make it more fun. Thumbs up!

I was about to make the same question...
Good thing there is a thread about it already. Now I know what it is about.
I agree with Doctorul - It is a nice feature and it somehow serves to indicate our participation in the forums.

You also get chips if people respond to a thread you started, or rate it etc. For many kinds of actions. No list published, but the idea is to encourage and reward participation and good writing.

What about the banking and loans of chips?
"Minimum savings of 500 Chips required for 4% interest every 30 days. Deposits require pending time of 1 days before interest accrues, or a 5% early withdrawal fee applies. Deposits may be moderated. Maximum savings of 0 Chips allowed. Transaction fee of 1% applies on all transfers."
Thought I got the picture until I read those things.
What do you win if you have more and what do you lose if you have less... and how could you lose them?

Currently chips can only be used to play at our arcade game hall. New ways to spend chips can be implemented in the future.

This is an additional feature if the system that we do not intend to use. It is disabled but still visible there on the user control panel. I'll look for a way to remove that link.
