Default full tilt - disconnected from a tourney

just got disconnected during a 90 man tourney, when we were down to about 40 left - wasn't able to get it back and was blinded out the rest of the tourney - so frustrating!

does anyone know if full tilt refund your entry fee or anything? this happened to anyone else before?

If the disconnect was on there part, I'm almost positive they will refund you.
I'd send customer support a detailed email.
They have credited me 5$ in the past for a 1$ 9man, due to a disconnect on their part. I didn't even have to email them.

Default Refund

They will refund you if they are at fault, but if u were the only one having trouble, they'll tell you that you burden the risk of disconnecting. This recently happened to me in a 2000 man tournament and i was 3rd in chips with 230 players left, right on the bubble. I wasnt able to connect for over an hour and i came back to the sb being mucked for 2/3 of my remaining chips, finished 90th, sick.
This has happened to me in cash games as well, which was infinetely more frustrating because I had aces and preflop was reraised by me with one caller, for 2/3 his stack. Normally, someone would push or fold in that spot, but for some reason the player just calls, (ak im sure). I get disconnected right as flop comes out and didnt get to push in. If i had, the hand would play itself out, instead im sure he min bet me when i was disonnected and took the $160 pot. Fulltilt said they would reimburse me for the hand, adding that it wasnt normal procedure to do so and it was a one time offer. Guess what, I never got it.
I hope he flopped a set or straight and i saved money, who knows coulda been lucky that it happened, but Id rather take my chances.

Good to hear FT reimbursing fees for disco.

I had similar to rakmupagain but on empire poker. Playing on a disconnect protect table I was dealt KK, raised PF 4bb and the other players folded to button, the table just froze until about 45 seconds later the screen flashed and it was my turn to act. Without even looking I went to make near potsized bet but in the matter of a split second my hand got autofolded, there wasn't even any betting before me and I had to watch the pot go to the button without him making a decision. Because of the small stakes I decided to let it go but made note of the hand.

The following night I flopped a set and had the table idiot flat calling me, the turn saw the board pair up giving me the nut FH and still the idiot was flat calling me. On the river I pushed all in, the idiot conveniently disconnected but got a showdown meaning both hands got shown.

Although I won the pot I really wasn't happy as I felt he abused the disconnect protect feature and coupled with the KK hand the night before I decided to e-mail empire both hands. The reply I got was basically telling me the disco for the KK hand was my fault, they couldn't find anything wrong with their servers at that time. The other hand would be looked in to as any abuse wouldn't be tolerated. About a week later I received email regarding the 2nd hand, it was the same response for my KK hand. I emailed them once more telling them that their response was unacceptable, my point being 2 different tables, 2 similar disconnections but 2 different end results. Once again their reply was nothing wrong with their servers at those times. Needless to say I cashed out and wont play there again.

yeah to be honest i've always been impressed with full tilt, with their customer support (always prompt) and just little things, like sending you a free t-shirt when you knock out a pro in a tourney!

they did mention in the email that this was just a one-off out of goodwill, and that they wouldn't do it all the time, but it certainly made me feel better about the whole thing.

No, you can not get a refund on the site. It tells you on the website. Its your problem if you dissconnect.
