Default Full Tilt Micro Rake

I only have $110 on Full Tilt and I do not have rakeback on the site because I signed up there long before I learned of this site. And since my bankroll is so low I have been playing 5/10cNL. It was only today that I realized that the 5/10cNL tables have a 10% rake on them! Ten percent rake is insane at those limits!!!

What adds insult to injury is that 10% is not the standard rake at Full Tilt. The standard rake is a normal 5%. It's only at these 5c/10c tables that they really get you like this.

Of course, I can't continue to keep paying 10% rake especially with such small pots and stacks. My other option is to start playing $25NL ($0.10/$0.25NL) but I am not bankrolled for that. I guess I should just cash out from Full Tilt and give up on playing there for real money. It's not like I have rakeback there anyway. Just I can't believe it is such a rip-off for the lowest level players. I guess if you're not looking to have $500+ on their site, they just don't care about you.

Yet another perfect example of one of the many reasons I don't deal with Full Tilt anymore...

Yes, that is awful, i agree, I'm also in the same type of situation playing 1/2 NL where we hit max rake nearly every pot (although 2/4 is probably the worst), paying nearly same gross rake as any 100/200 game etc... With a 10% rake, u really have to take advantage of weak players to make anything...

That 10% rake really does kill the winrate, but I guess in theory you should be able to beat up on the opposition more easily than at $25nl, might cover some of the losses Just come to pokerstars ffs :P

I have been able to beat the rake so far. That is how I was able to build from the $100 to $110. But seriously, I was wondering why it seemed so hard to make any real amount. I haven't been playing a whole lot on FTP but enough that I should have been making a little bit more than that. The 5/10cNL tables are very likely to be beatable because the play is so bad. But why bother beating tables that low, where you barely make any real money anyway, and then deal with a double rake just because you're poor.

Edit: I play on PS too. They are really good to the micro players. My favorite 'new' thing is that they offer micro Razz tables now... including 4/8c and 10/20c. That's awesome because playing $0.50/$1.00 (which I would do) was really too much for my limited bankroll on that site but I loved razz enough to do it at times.

Ya, and the 25% rake on the 1$ S&G's takes a lick too. I had to quickly move to the 2$ S&G's to cut the rake to 12.5%....
the high rake can be tuff on your ROI.

I think the point behind micros is a nice place for a player to start with a VERY limited bankroll.
Also a nice inexpensive way to learn bankroll management.

$110 should be enough. should be able to get 200-300 in rake on top of what make in the ring games or sng's
but definitely the less money you have the more you get taxed.
