Full Tilt Points vs. Rakeback

Wow. I suppose I was unaware that if you actually use the FullTilt Points you lose rakeback??? Well that blows cause I used a whole lot of my points trying to go through satellites for bigger tournaments...

Pretty sure this is right... So for the 500$ camcorder.. it would of course just be 125 or so instead... so its actually worth it.

hey lakedweller, have you ever checked out the full tilt forum? there is a section on it where ppl are getting .005 cents a point from other players wanting merchandise. in otherwords,
joe wants a jersy for 10000 points, cindy has the point and is willing to order the jersy for joe but joe has to let a third party hold the funds until it arrives. pretty cool thing they have going, but you will be deducted that amount from ur rake so makes it kinda iffy.
I have several thousand FTP's but only play low stakes and dont't earn much Full Tilt rake with all there deductions (especially the darn Player Added fees that occur even when I haven't played for months, keep me in negative), So it wouldn't hurt me to sell or use my points.

Thanks for that clarification. Based on several of the comments, I think most of us did not understand the process. Now I see that using the points is actually worthwhile.

I know this thread is older than me but I was thinking...could one not just wait until they are done playing on FT forever and then use their points for store items? This way you will never generate rake to pay off the negative rakeback you are charged for point usage and will effectively have used your points with no penalty. I know this is probably extreme but in reality we all stop playing on FT eventually!
