[quote=-Syre-;22382]How can you even say that? Did I attack you? Are you honestly that rude and inconsiderate?... The amount of bad beats on Fulltilt is ridiculous. Just miraculously I have a good hand but the person next to me has my hand just one upped so I hit my top card but they hit a set so I'd bet as first to act and obviously lose. It's ridiculous...

Have you never heard of the notion that the majority of big pot's or all in pots in poker are lost with the second nuts or 3rd nut's loosing to the nuts.

why so, well logic suggests if this where not the case monney would not be going into the pot so quickly and rapidly. Both players bellive they are holding the best hand and are sure they are ahead and must be winning the hand. So all the monney goes into the pot with both players expecting a pay day! yet when the guy holding the 2nd or 3rd best hand possible see's the other guy turn over the complete nut's it is a travesty an inverse of justice and the poker site must be rigged. One of the factors that seperates great and even very good poker players from the rest of the poker world is being able to spot and recognise these situations, not just assuming they are ahead everytime because they have the 2nd best hand avaliable.

P.S what you describe is not a BAD BEAT!

I think not only in Fultilt, but all other sites of poker is played to make us a little discouraged, but this is what fascinates in poker, the unpredictability!!

What do you mean... A2 vs KK when I hit an A and when a K is on the flop too and I think I'm good to go with my top pair isn't a bad beat?

1. you were never at any stage of the hand ahead so how can it be a Bad Beat, U where always behind!

2. thinking your "good to go" with aces 2 high is quite an assumption and there are numerous other hands you are potentialy behind/loosing to, the fact that the hand you are in reality loosing to is 'trip kings' seems to make this a bad beat in your eyes (

3. the hand you describe is just a common poker situation that you will encounter frequently while playing poker. Attempt to put your opponent on a range of potential holdings rather then just passing the hand off as a bad beat and feeling sorry for yourself. This will take time at first but the more you analyse and review your play and the play of others the better you will become at putting your opponent on a range of holdings enabling you to make better and more informed decisions at the table.

4. Remember poker is a game of incomplete information. It's your job as the player to find out as much information as possible in order to make the correct play.

Do you see the smiley... I swear, people don't get sarcasm.

I said that in reference to the fact that the other guy thought losing his top pair was a bad beat....

But good try with stating the obvious sir. You must be a poker master.

Default Hmmm

Stars does the same thing, its just you see so many hands online its bound to happen. Ur only a 75% fave. with AK vs. A7 so welcome to poker. Also, FD and OESD have a decent amount of equity vs. whatever hand u have(unless its full), so 1 in 4.5x you will get sucked out on

Some of the worst beats I've ever witnessed were in live games.

I've been on both ends of some.

Online beats don't come all that frequently. You are just seeing way more hands, so it appears that way due to the shortened time frame.
