I have to disagree there BM, only simply due to the fact that for a while we had a rail chat going during ptotw games, and everyone abided by the rules and never shared any information until they were out of the game, and even then their comments focused mainly on the players who were still playing in it. As long as there are respectable people involved who can abide by the rules, I don't see why this would be a bad idea at all.

Mo, I think the suggestion is a chat room here at rakeback for users when visiting. As for sharing of hand info I do not see that in the PTOTW, even with outside chat running.

Thanks,

I think a chat window would be great! I stop by RB many times just passing through, would be nice to be able to chat without Posting.

Cheating minds?
WOW , whos suggesting that we use it to cheat ?
Sorry but thats dumb in my opinion.
If someone were gonna cheat, would they do it out in the open, or through a private chat like through yahoo or by cell phone, etc.
I just don't buy what you're selling.

I believe it would be a great addition to the forum, if someone shares a pw or cheats in anyway while playing in our tourneys then they should be banned from the site.

Besides that....it would be great to chat with other members outside the tourneys, get to know them on a different level.

Default chat about others?

If I have 2-3 games going, it's hard enough to chat. My wife would be jealous I wasn't chatting with her.

When she's trying to talk, I don't listen.

I don't think chatting during the weekly events should be an issue. They could always just disable them during an event right?

Usually when a handful of us has tried it out, nobody chatted at all during the game...only before and after. So honestly I don't see a problem but like it was stated above, it would be simple to boot someone who was not abiding by the rules.
