Default do you play like an Idiot?

I've read a number of posts that refer to the amount of Idiots out there in on-line poker land,(and I am sure they are out there in live games as well).

What makes you play like an Idiot?

low chip stack?

position?

as you can guess, these are my excuses

let's face it, sometimes these idiots do win

but if you were honest, I am sure you have played the Idiot role before!

Anyone who answers no is not being completely honest imo, we've all done it either intentionally or by accident...either way, it's happened to everyone. I try not to call someone a flat out idiot if I can help it...I mean let's face it, there are a lot of new players out there who may just simply not know the game that well. Their mistakes are how they learn...unfortunately, if their mistakes pay off, then they may be learning the wrong message...As for myself, it happened plenty of times when just starting out...nowadays, if it happens, it is either from something as stupid as a mis-click, to something as silly as miscalculating odds and going after something I shouldn't have. The beauty of it is that once we've got a good grasp on the game, we can recognize these flaws and make the necessary changes to improve, so as not to make the same mistakes twice.

At this time Im always absolutely convinced I can pull of the most daring bluffs and my TPTK is the nuts, lol! Oh well nevermind, I now force myself to play as low as I can after a night out!

I have played the idiot many times for various reasons. The times that bother me the most are the times where I just made an awful read or didnt pay enough attention to the board to make a good decision.

Default good poll

I find that I lay like an idiot more than i care to admit, whether be i'm tired, a bit steamed, or jsut feel like screwin around with a hand or player. I always find myself making calls out of curiosity ( to see if my read was right), when i know i'm beat. This has its usefulness at times, to get a better idea on how a hand was played by ur opponent when its cheap enough. Might pay dividends in the near future, opponents who pay attention might underestimate ur abilities, and be less likely to bluff ur 3rd pair with ace high. But I find that I'm doing it more often than i should even for these purposes. I think negreanu does the same thing.
About a month ago, i misclicked a hand i wanted to muck why multitabling, hit a set on the turn, and my opponent went ballisitic when we got it all in and his overpair was no good. I was laughing so hard the way he reacted, I started toying with him when he started callin me donkey and getting every1 to agree how bad the call on the flop was with 3 overs. I called him with 66. Of course he asks me how i could ever make that call, i told him i put him on pocket fives and he went thru the roof. Not only did i get his stack, i got it again, when he overbet his next big hand to push me off whatever underpair or draw i may have. Instacall, ship it, whos playing like an idiot now.
Moral of the story, if u do find urself winning a hand u played badly, take advantage of ur new image at the table.
