Default Has poker ever made you cry?

i mean literal tears.

i have cried 4 times. i hadn't sobbed for a few years until tonite. i went 4 days without winning a hand. you may think i am exaggerating, but i'm not. i'm sure i could have played better but how do you not go on tilt after winning 100 out of 10,000 hands. 1% is so sick. i wished i had save my statistics to copy and paste here so you would believe me.

the other 3 times. once i finshed 3rd in 3500 player tournament on Empire poker where top 2 got wsop seats.

the other 2 were more mundane. tied with chip leader on final 2 tables get aces he has kings and i lose. other was same situation i moved in with ak and he called with k10.

sometimes i just hate poker. i wonder, do i even know how to play this game?
of course next week when i get hot i will think i am the best player in the world.
funny how that works.

Hmm....well I've screamed bloody murder and cussed so bad a sailor would blush, but I don't think I've ever cried over it. Then again, it takes a lot to get me to the point of tears. If I'd have bubbled out in that WSOP qualifier of yours, that might have done it.

Decided to shorten the post. I lost a 10K pot in a cash game to a 1 outer on the river

I cried, cried, broke shit, punched a hole in my wall, and broke a door. I keep them there to remind me the lesson I learned following the cardinal rule in poker:

DO NOT EVER sit down at a table with your entire BR no matter how soft the game is, how many suckers are at the table, or even if you took everyone at that table for 1,000 dollars yesterday, DO NOT DO IT!

sounds like you need a break from poker
it's so hard for our game not to be altered after a bad swing(or other things going on in our lives), lots of times you dont even notice your game change, but it does.
almost everytime i take a break from the game, whether its just a few days or weeks, I come back playing my best game.
I wish you all the Best of Luck

Can't say I've ever cried over poker but I certainly get mad with it.

Heaven knows what the neighbours must think of me when they hear me yelling at 3am "I never hit f**&^Łg flops" or "f%$*&#g suck-outs, i'm always getting sucked out" or a bad night with QQ might get me yelling "I'm always getting screwed by b*tches". These walls in this block aren't very soundproof
