Default If you could get 100% rakeback, making a living from poker would be easy.

I was just thinking the other day when i was playing PLO cash games on Full Tilt, i bet the sponsored full tilt pro's you see online (their name's are always in red in the list's) all get 100% rakeback. This left me felling rather sick. If you play the lower end medium stakes short handed PLO as i do and even short handed hold'em you pay huge amounts in rake, especially if you multi table as i and most other players do. In these games the $3 maximum rake is paid in the majority of the hands and you play about 100 hands an hour. So you can call that about $250 per hour leaving the table in rake. On average there's about 5 players delt into each hand so thats $50 each player is paying in rake per hour. If you play 4 tables at a time as many of the full tilt pro's do (some play more) thats $200 per hour they pay in rake, say they play a 10 hour session, thats $2,000 per day in rake. So if they get 100% rakeback that means they can make $2,000 per day if they just break even at the table's. Im sure if i could get the same deal i would live like a king, personally though i can't even get the 27% rakeback deal on full tilt which is why i very rarely play there now. I just can't accept missing out on all that money for doing the exact same job.

The bigger pros do not even have to deposit, let alone worry about rake. Now that would be nice.

The cool thing about poker is even us low rollers could hit lightning in a bottle and wind up somewhere we never could have imagined.

Keep Playing..............

You can get deals like this, up to 125% rakeback by becoming a prop.
I will not make the info public, but if interested them PM me and I'll let you know where to find more info. But you'll have to be willing to generate $2k rake a wk in most cases, but not all.

The standard deal fulltilt gives out is 100% rakeback and $25 an hour, and u must play 10 hours a week. To a fulltime cash game grinder, this is easilt worth 70-80k a year. U could play break even poker and make a good living. Hope I get lucky enough to get on win a bracelet or get enough exposure elsewhere to be given a deal, but who doesnt.

Yeah once you get that deal your made for life .......... or at least as long as full tilt exists. Plus you get your entry fee paid for all major tournaments. Thats one thing i've noticed in poker, success breeds success and the rich just get richer. It's hard working getting to the top, but if you achieve it, it sure is worth it.

The tournament entry fee is a misconception. Only some of the pros get their entries covered. Some of them have full scale deals to get all the majors paid. Some only get a certian number of them paid. Some don't get any paid, but the get the godo rakeback deal, plus their share of endorsement/merch stuff.
