Cool, didn't know about that...I'll look into it I've got over 200K in playchips still, so that's a good starting point

Good luck with that. I'm sure you can do it.

I hope more people get into this. I want to make it a big event.

What if we want to do it across several sites? And can we count where we are at right now?

On two different sites, neither of which I have made any deposit on -- ever -- I have a combined total of: $326.19

Or does it have to be on one site and do I need to restart from scratch?

If you originally started with $0, and you want to compete, then simply state that you started already, and have a bankroll.

Just post your username(s), what poker site(s) you will being the challenge on, and your goal on each of the accounts. I don't really want to do a combined total, so if you want your total goal is to hit $1,000 on two different accounts, then i will put ($500*) as your goal, to mean you have more than one account to have a combined goal. But if you want, you can try to get your goal on both the accounts.

Hmm well if that's the case, then perhaps I should use a combined total as well.

How about put me down for: $250 Stars, $250 Ultimate Bet, $500 Absolute. These are the sites that I've noticed have very frequent freerolls, and so since I can only play on Saturday and Sunday, this will give me an opportunity to play more than one at once, and try to keep up with those who can play more frequently like all week long, whereas I can't play that often anymore

Considering that I have never made a deposit... then, I would say that is originally starting with zero. If you don't want combined sites, then I will do it on one. But let me think about whether or not I want that information posted publicly. I may participate but silently.

frob23: Well the reason for posting this information publicly is for others to see your progress, and to support you whenever they see you on that site. If you wish to keep your username privat, thats fine. I will just post your rakeback name. Also, for the multiple accounts, you can do what liladypokerpro did in that other post if you wish.

liladypokerpro: what is your usernames for those sites?

I already tried this on Pokerstars.

Last year when Neteller went down (or more like refused any US players).

So I cashed out and I couldn't decide what to do with my FFPs.

So I decided to do the Ferguson. I played in only the FFPs games. Built my BR enough to play the .10 MTTs, then the .25 MTTS, then the .50 MTTS.

After I hit $25 in winnings. I played the micro cash games and the $1.20 SNGs.

i eventually built my BR to $200 in a year. I now have $230 on Pokerstars and counting.

I'm trying to reach $1k also. But i've been sidetracked recently because I now get rakeback on FullTilt so I play most of my games there now. Which sucks.

It can be done but it's a hell of a grind. I wish everyone good luck on this challenge.

Want to put your username on here? As long as you started with $0, then you can join in here. You can help others on there journey, and proved actual proof that it is possible to get somewhere just off of freerolls.

PokerStars user name:

Big Master Q

BR= $236

Goal=$1k.

I'd start with the FFPs first. If you have a small bankroll then I'd start with the .10 MTTs or the .25 MTTs.

With the FFPs, you gotta play super tight and once you hit something like $1 in winnings you can start the .10 MTTs.

That's how I basically started.

As for Ultimate Bet, I've decided not to worry with that one, so my SBR will be $0 for both Absolute Poker and Poker Stars, and I will try for $500 on each.

And Yes, that is my final answer

Updated.

So let me get this straight, you want to get $500 on each of the three sites for a total of $1,500?

No, I'm not going to use Ultimatebet, so only $500 on two sites, AP and PS for a total of 1K

Man, I am off to a bad start. I just ran -49.66BB/100 for 334 hands on the site I am going to focus on.

And I would love to say it was bad play. But honestly, I was just getting violated.

As an example, in one hand the UTG player raises 3xBB and is min-reraised by the guy in 2nd position. I call from the CO with 77 (willing to lay it down if the UTG played raises again but thinking we might see the flop for this amount). The blinds fold and the UTG player just calls.

Flop: 3-6-7 rainbow. Top set on a very dry board. I expect the two UTG players (or at least one of them) to have big pairs and to get some action from this sort of flop.

UTG player bets, UTG+1 raises, I call, UTG raises, UTG+1 goes all-in, I call (hoping to trap UTG into betting again so I can shove)... UTG raises again, and I finally shove.

UTG turns over 4-5o. UTG+1 had A-A (as was reasonably expected). The board doesn't pair and that's another 125BB down the drain.

A-K on an A-K-8 flop against 8-8. K-K against 7-7 (he was short stacked and we ended up all in pre-flop)... flop is 7-x-x. J-J against T-T, on a T-baby-baby flop... he'd just called the pre-flop raise and only had 35BB left behind so calling the shove after my continuation bet was pretty much unavoidable. Q-Q from the SB against the BB. I raised 3xBB pre-flop... called... flop 2-3-4. I check, he bets. I raise... and he just calls. I bet the turn. He calls. I bet the river, he minraises... I call to find him holding A-5. And so on. It was just an ugly night... where every time I had a hand I was out-flopped or beaten on a later street.

I need a beer... and some time. I can recover from this (shouldn't be hard) but man... what a bad run. I did end up leaving with 280BB in my stack (the table was weak as you can imagine and should have been profitable if I wasn't so unfortunate) but 334 hands is like 4-5 hours of play... and it's time to call it a night.

Looks like you've had a mild night at the freerolls

Sorry to hear about that frob. What bankroll are you on? And is it part of the challenge here? If so, why not post your user name. If not, then oh well. But again, sorry, that is a bad run of cards there.
