Live vs Online chat !!
OK, i have been playing online and live poker for a while now, and i have noticed two major differences... One this is that the players live are tighter than online.... AND the other thing is whats said at the table... I have been at so many online tables, when a player will lose a bad hand, and BLOW UP, and i mean BLOW UP, they will constanting curse, with no regard for the other players. I look at this as being kind of selfish. Not only are these players online making themselves look like morons, BUT they are ALSO ruining the game for the other players...who cares, bad beats are part of the damn game, and they happen to everybody, believe me you are not hated by the online game rooms more than anybody else ! Another fact, is that the VAST MAJORITY of what is said in the online chat box, is so vulgar you would be KICKED OUT OF A CASINO FOR IT. That is no joke, the casinos woud not tolerate that, i have seen people be kicked out of the casino for vulgar language. Please let me know what you think about this, and your opinions and experiences with these types of players, online, and maybe even live.

| Well the easy difference to point out is that in a casino, there are people physically there to remove someone for breaking the rules of the poker room. Not to mention, in a casino, if you pull this kind of nonsense, you risk being banned from it completely. This is simply not the case online. It would be helpful if moderators could sit at every single table and keep down the silliness, but it's not likely to happen anytime soon. Even if someone does get in trouble for it, they just make a new screen name and start all over again. Stars has an option where you can "call the moderator" but they leave 2 seconds after they put their 2 cents worth in the chat......not very helpful.

I just turn off observer chat on Full Tilt, then when a donkey goes bust you dont have to put up with it. The reason there are more a-holes online is because you can fit over 60k people on one site, the poker room at my local casino can only fit 110 players at a time (obviously more in the room just 11 tables) |
