me i show sometimes a big monster when bully players try to push me around i have found it makes them a little more cautious against me in a hand. it really seems to work to favor me in a lot of cases. as far as bluffs i would not ever show a bluff online because there is enough fishes as it is and if you show a bluff then they might start calling you with everything and end up sucking out on you when you have a real big hand. thats just my thoughts.

Late in a tournament when I am abusing the blinds and stealing them as often as possible, I'll show several good hands if possible. But I mean hands where people know I'd have called a shove or shoved against a reraise. So I'm showing hands like JJ+ and AKs. And I am not showing all of those either. At a live tournament, and I know we're not talking live games but this deals with showing, I once ended up folding J-J face up. And, best part of the story... it was the best hand. I'd have knocked out two players with it. I had to lay it down though. Because the original all-in was weak but the player who shoved over him is a rock. It was a bad play... I can openly admit that showing that was a mistake. But I already had a reputation for a very tight player... and by open folding those... the regular players got an even stronger impression of my tightness. And that impression is how I abuse that game when the blinds are high and make it into the money as often as I do.

As said before, showing hands is pretty pointless, in a game of incomplete information, why would you want to give your opponent free information? The rare time I might consider showing is if I had been raising/3betting a lot preflop, then did it again with a super premium hand, just to let them know I'm not always full of shit ![]()
