Online Private Poker Tables
Hi I have been trying to find somewhere that will allow me to set up a private table (play money) so I can hold a weekly tournament on my general chat forum. I was using BWIN up until this week but it has stopped that option now. ![]() I've tried: Party Poker Hollywood poker 32RedPoker FullTilt Poker and none of these will allow me to set up a private table.... Any help on this would be very much appreciated. ![]() Thanks The-Wall |

I do not know of any site that allows private play money games. I do know that many places, like PokerStars for example, will allow you to create your own private tournaments. In some cases you need to have been playing on the site for a certain amount of time and have enough points before they will consider it. In those cases, you can have a real money buy-in or put up money yourself to offer them a freeroll. But in both cases, real money is involved. The Merge network (PokerNordica) allows you to create your own private ring game tables. So it is not even a tournament. People can come and go as they please and the blinds never go up. It can still be fun. And you can create a table as low as [$0.05/$0.10NL] $0.10/$0.25NL (Just checked and they moved it up). But, again, it is real money. Good luck finding a play money one. If you do, be sure to let us know because I've wondered myself before. Edit: Correction

There are a lot of sites that offer private tables (google online private poker table). I've used an ad supported site called 5pmpoker.com that lets you set up a private table and invite other players to it. They send an email to everyone at the end of the game with a chip won/loss summary.

The play on that site is just play horrendous. I love it. But their "pot" buttons are all messed up. Someone doesn't know how to calculate the amount of a pot sized bet and the difference is often staggering. When a "pot-sized" bet is less than the minimum raise, you know there's a problem somewhere. The pot odds thing is funky too. Someone will bet 12 into a pot of 6... and it says you have pot odds of 1:1 (not 3:2 like it should). I'll grant that it's free... and it's play money. But those things are still very frustrating to me. And the play is just terrible. 250xBB deep, and players end up all-in with 9-9 against A-To. How does that even happen?

![]() Yay, they fixed the pot sized bet issue. I knew if I explained to them how to correctly calculate it, that the change would be minor. It is just another sign that I need a life though.
