Pkt 9s is my favorite hand because it seems when I have them, I end up making a set on flop only to lose to a str8 or flush on river

I got out of the habit of having a favorite hand a while back.......it makes you play undisciplined. What I mean is like, say your favorite hand is something like Q10s......now, normally if you are out of position and there are, let's just say 2 raises and 2 callers ahead of you, you would normally fold this easily......but since it's your "favorite" hand, you most likely will call and lose a lot in the end, because you will likely try to catch something with it because in your mind, your "favorite" hand has some sort of special power against all others.....whereas if you'd folded as you should, you'd not have cost yourself so much.

Just my two cents... I know everyone doesn't play their "favorite" hand in this manner, but I've found most people do and will.

I like T8s, I dont see it that often, so if I can get them in a good position I will play them fast.

AKs. Big when it hits and easy to fold when it doesn't.

AA of course.

At least if we're talking pre-flop.

8Ts

I get this hand less than AA so I open with it if I am able.
