Default ok now

I don't care if it's on the bubble. Are you a poker player? Do you want to win? If someone randomly shoves in, the is no way in hell he has AA KK QQ there, he in best has AK, and you are the favor, play with confidence and good judgement, u should call there, not sit around and wait for aces. If you think about it, if you and him were the two huge chips leaders and he barely had you covered, than that race is basically for the win! If you win the race with JJ vs his most likely AK than you are like a 10 to 1 chip leader...................your four handed losin up and let your nuts seriously!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and btw that must have been a weak tournament if it paid out to only 3 places???????????????????? wtfwtfwtfwtf

Default Useless info

Your info is so incomplete it is an airball of a question. a 20 man sng with 3 places paid? I have yet to run across this format. What site? really. You cant win playing scared. Generally by this point of the sng the blinds are so high even for a big stack, this is unfoldable hand. You made the wrong play. I hope ur sitting at my table when im stealing 1/5 of ur stack every blind u get.

Against a completely random hand, JJ loses 22.5% of the time. Over 1/5th of the time he makes this call, he goes home with nothing. If he was really short-stacked, then maybe this was a spot for him to make this move.

But as stated, he and the other guy had about 80% of the chips in play and the other two short stacks were going to be going out very soon. I grant that there's barely enough information here but there's enough to be fairly sure waiting isn't horrible.

Note: If his opponent pushes with something more reasonable than a random hand it gets worse for him. He loses over 30% of the time when his opponent will push with any pair and 1 overcard even if the kicker is a deuce. When I put in some very loose but also very likely numbers (as few people would shove Q2o)... I find him losing as often as 1/3rd of the time. He is basically assured a spot into the money at this point if he doesn't give away his chips. This is not a spot I would be folding KK or AA but JJ is just too weak for me to call off my tournament life when two people are on life support and I am sitting with a fairly healthy stack. [I would raise and shove with this hand but not call.]

It is different in a stg as ICM states you should only call with AA. However by folding you are basically giving the big stack a licence to shove any 2 cards 100% of the time. That you won the tourney is irrelevant when decididing on whether the right decision was made. What if the 2 short stacks doubled up and you ended up bubbling anyway. Would you be thinking you made the wright move folding this hand.
