Default Funny Story-Has this ever happened to you?

Has this ever happened to you--Fold a hand and flop a monster....

I played for a while on Bodog last night and won a little money (Doubled up the max buy-in) ,so I left with my winnings safely tucked away @ the Cashier and moseyed over to P*'s. Bought in for $30 dollars and played a few hands and the guy listed below (KenBarbados) river'ed a Full house to beat my nut flush and busted me.

I re bought for $30 and as you can see from my chipstak, things were not going well. I had decided to quit for the night, but before I could hit the sitting out button the hole cards came out and as you can see below, the rest is history.

What is worse is being the guy dealt JJ and having you stay with the 10-7 and hitting the boat. That was on Jokerstars though and that seems to happen much more on that site than it does in "real" live poker games. Which brings up the question;

"Does "PokerStars" (and other sites) program hands that encourage more players to stay and bet in order to build thier rakes (which is how they make their $). I have played several thousands of hands on Poker Stars and based on what I have seen I would say "MOST DEFINITELY THEY DO!" I realize we see more hands when playing on line and players are usually alot "looser", however I still see to many hands that seem "suspect".
Too many suited or paired flops, too many 4 of a kinds, boats, nut flushes and way too many hands in where one player is dealt AA, another QQ and yet another JJ, 10-10 or AK. This keeps most in to at least see the flop which often seems to hit, something like A, Q, 10. It never fails that everyone who did stay (including the guy who stayed with low or mid suited connectors and now has a flush draw). The pot is huge (and as a result so is the rake) and one of these guys (usually the one with the weakest orignal holdings it seems) drags the pot.
I have played other sites as well but it seems this is much more common on "Poker" Stars.
Who, if anybody, regulates or oversees on-line sites to ensure this is not the case? Is there any way a site can verify such is not the case? I would love to be proved incorrect but when human beings and $ are involved.....well...enough said.

I think you may have missed the point of the story, and that is probably due to my poor explanation. I folded the hand, and that is why I would like to hear some stories about hands that you thought about, then folded, only to would have flopped a monster.

Is there some kind of intuition in these instances, like when you just go by a "feeling" that you have. I will tell the story in a simpler fashion:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Has this ever happened to you? You fold a hand ,and it ends up being a monster?
This is just for entertainment, but I would like to hear some similar stories

There was this guy (me) who's Nut Flush got busted by this other guy's making a full house on the river , so he re-bought in. After a while the guy figures out that this just ain't his night and decide's to quit, but before he can leave the table another hand of hole cards are dealt and it was 10-7 os, a hand that this guy likes to play because he read " The magic of 10-7" by Daniel N. The guy just limps in, "Just one more hand". The guy that busted him earlier raises the pot and because the first guy is so disgusted w/ him, he folds. He wouldn't pay another $1.00 to see the flop.
Flop comes J 7 10 , He would have flopped 2 pair ,and the guy (me) gets mad and acts up and his wife says "Honey? What's all that noise up there, Did you fall?"
Turn come's 7 and he slams his hand down on the desk and his wife says "HEY, What did you just tear up?"
Now the guy would've made a full house and there were 2 people still in the pot betting... he would have cleaned house and maybe have gotten his money back . Poker is so sick!

That happens every now and then. In my case, especially from the small blind. I fold my garbage hands (like Q5o) from the small blind and curse a little when the flop is QA5 or something. On the other hand, in my experience a flopped two pair doesn't seem to hold all too often until the end and it gets expensive.

The thing I hate the most is when I'm playing a tourney and sit out for a few to go to the bathroom or grab a drink or something and I come back, check the hand history and find out I got dealt an AA while I was gone

More often than not, I will fold a 72 offsuit, and the flop will then come out 772, or 227

I tend to play this hand more often now (but of course, nary a 7 or 2 show up)

Yeah that does suck, i hate when that happens, cheap price gets a call, hit your nuts, and another person as a sicker nut, lol, its suck, but its all part of poker, wah makes it challenging that not all hands are good till the river is done, good luck on the felt,

Everyone gets these hands ...I call them the what if hands...lol...the problem is when some people start playing these rags because they would have flopped a boat one time and they folded them...like the 2/7...and everytime you get 2/7 you play it and expect a flopped boat each time.

Poker is a game of playing the odds if you want to win, But every once in a while a lil birdie will whisper in your ear to play some rags...lol...and you do and it hits...this might be worse than missing.....because now your not playing poker but start playing rags and chasing that magic flop again.

In closing....I think all of us have done the ole folding the Rockets while in the bathroom move.....never fails...lol.

Good luck on the tables gang!

Default who hasn't

Once I've folded a hand, I've learnt to forget the cards. I would've taken a razor to my wrists by now if I didn't

I agree and always wonder that to myself. Pokerstars seems to have soo many multi flop or pocket pairs being dealt not like live games at all. Also have you ever notice when the all in moment comes it always seems if you have them dominated they always hit that card they need on that site to win. Or you will have something like 99's and they will be holdin jack 9 and catch runner runner straight or runner runner flush's
