Default I got very lucky here... shameless... luck not skill.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (9 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver Cards)

saw flop|saw showdown

MP2 ($10.90)
MP3 ($2.59)
CO ($4.57)
Button ($4.73)
SB ($4.74)
BB ($8.16)
Hero ($3.05)
UTG+1 ($5.79)
MP1 ($1.19)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with , .
Hero raises to $0.08, 1 fold, MP1 calls $0.08, 2 folds, CO calls $0.08, Button calls $0.08, 1 fold, BB calls $0.06.

Flop: ($0.41) , , (5 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.3, MP1 raises to $1.11, CO folds, Button folds, BB calls $1.11, Hero calls $0.81.

I am semi-happy with this flop... I do have top pair and the nut flush draw. I do not know how much trouble I actually am in. I bet 75% of the pot and get raised another 81 cents. I put the BB on a high heart since he just called and I assume that MP1 either has a flush or another strong hand. I know I am behind here. But, I suspect that I will see the river for free if I check the turn (if the BB is also drawing to a flush) so I think I am getting to see both cards here. I assume I have 6 outs... or about 25% equity... maybe more... and I might have implied odds if the BB and I hit our flush and I get his stack also. I need to call 81 cents and the pot is $2.93.. I am getting better than 3-1 pot odds so I have the expected equity to call according to my flawed assumptions.

If I knew the BB already had the flush, I would have needed much higher odds (I would have only 5 outs... and possibly face a bet on the turn... I would need about 7.6-1 pot odds here).

As you can see, from the hands listed at the bottom... I am in major trouble.

Turn: ($3.74) (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.8, BB calls $0.80.

Well, there we go... I get seriously lucky. I bet enough that the BB almost has to call even if he suspects I have the nut flush. It's so small... but it's enough of my stack that when he calls (and he will almost always), he is going to have to call the shove at the end.

River: ($5.34) (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.06 (All-In), BB calls $1.06.

Note: Before calling the BB even says, "I wish I could fold this..."

Final Pot: $7.46
Main Pot: $7.46, between BB and Hero. > Pot won by Hero ($7.46).

BB had

Hero had

MP1 had

I actually was 25% on the flop... I got seriously lucky to win this. I should have lost my stack.

yes you got lucky, but you didn't bet/call with nothing then suck out the gutshot on the river. You flopped top pair and had a nut flush draw, I don't see anyone having a problem at all with your play there.

I am content with how I played this. I do not think I played it poorly. I raised pre-flop and bet the flop to follow through with a decent hand and what I believed was a fairly live redraw if I was beat. When I got raised, the caller in front of me led me to put him on the wrong hand as well as priced me into calling based on what I believed was happening. I think I played the hand decently... maybe not well... but decently. But I was in much worse shape than I assumed and got extraordinarily lucky on the turn.

There are worse ways I could have played this. I just was blown away that I was outflopped by both players... on the same suit as I held the Ace of... and still managed to pull a win out of my rear.

Edit: Of course, if anyone believes I played this badly... please comment. Perhaps you have reasons I should have check/called or check/folded the flop... I wouldn't mind hearing your opinion. I have thick skin... if you think I played this poorly, let me have it.
