Congrats on Royal

But what was the point of leading with a 200 bet to a 1200 pot on turn?

The bet was a continuation bet, I raised preflop representing an ace. The $200 was just an arbitrary amount that I plucked out of my *** . Meant to confuse. Do you think I should have bet more or checked?

BUT, the point of the post was the royal, not the brilliance or stupidity of my play. This was my first in NLHE, while I've had several in Omaha.

I would have done either of those, possibly checked. But then again as a limit player I know nothing about nl tournaments. Someone else might give more insight?

Understood, and a nice royal it is. Somehow they all are, if they're at your side of the table

The 200 bet on the turn is a great way to show that you're weak, since its less than what you bet on the two previous streets. Betting wasn't bad though, since you were semi bluffing, but i would have made it at least 600. Congrats on the royal though, just too bad you didn't get him to pay you off.

Definetely played wayyyyyyyy different than I would've.
I never really understood the min bet into a big pot, or the min raise......ever.
I always situated the min raise with people that don't know how to play good poker.
I guess on a really rare occasion, a min bet may be okay, but I don't think I've ever done that with the exception of heads up play.

Actually I disagree, and like limit tournaments The only problem is that since Party cut down US players, there are no more weekly large limit tournaments available. Their Super Wednesday limit tournaments were ok.
