Default Should I have called??

I was wondering how you guys would have played this hand. Down to about 180 ppl, top 81 get paid. and my stack is about double average. I hit a straight on the flop, unfortunately there are 3 diamonds on the board here is how it played out.

He didn't show so I don't know for sure whether or not he hit the flush.

On a flop like that and an all in raise, I wouldn't chance it, so I voted fold.

well I just got busted out in 43rd place, and the person who won that hand had the chip lead.

Thats a very fishy all in to me. Either they have a set, two pair, pair and up and down straight draw, or a pair and a diamond (most likely ace). So it depends on you. Do you really think you can win the pot? Most likely, no. It wasn't a bad fold, but it wasn't a good fold either. This is just one of those times where if you think your beat, then you should fold. If you think your ahead, then call. You also have to take into the factor chip stacks, and where you are at towards the money. If you are still far away, and you have him covered, go for it. If he has you covered, but your still far away from the money, then you ask yourself one question. Do you want to gamble? The answer to that will answer if you want to call or fold. This will answer your question in most of the situations.

smart to play it safe when it is getting down to who gets paid and you were also in very good shape to place deep in the tournament with double the average.
