Default What do you do when...

What do you do when you go on tilt or get hit by a horrible beat?

Do you take a short break, keep on pushing along, or quit for a long period of time?

Do you tend to re-read your Poker materials or continue playing as you were?

I've played long enough that I've received a crap load of bad beats, as well as given them to others, not to worry about them too much. I just go "ah, damn", and keep playing. If I get delivered a few bad beats in big pots in a short period of time, then I'll just sit out for a while and go for a smoke and then continue playing. Well, except if I've played such a long session that it's time to maybe stop playing all together for the day.

I agree, if you play a good amount of poker you will have your share of bad beats.

If it seems to be a trend for the day, I will just say, 'it is not my day' and stop until tomorrow. No need to further try and upset myself and try to chase, a dangerous combination.

Thanks
