Default new ideas for poker play

I've had ideas about revolutionary ways we can all play poker like a Pro

who do I present these ideas to?

I would want to reap the rewards and would like a chance to present this idea without sacrificing my royalties.

OK, I'm gonna be brutally honest. I haven't actually read any 'strategy' posts of yours that made me think "Wow this guy might have a clue". Lets be honest, there really isnt much 'revolutionary' stuff that can be done - we all know how odds work, we all have a 'best way' to play certain hands, we know how to deal with certain situations. Ofcourse the game has changed in terms of aggression/hand standards, so players must evolve, but nothing revolutionary. Same with blackjack, the best strategy is known, its pretty much a closed case now.

If there was something revolutionary out there, you can imagine that it would have already been discovered by a pro and published already and been a best seller more than likely.

As to who to tell, I really havent the slightest idea. Why don't you give us a flavour of what you're talking about first

Before you tell anyone anything about what you might be thinking, you need to get a copyright taken care of. Once you do that, you can look into sharing your idea with people who might be able to financially back it, or at least be a sponsor. As far as who to tell, it really depends on what exactly you are trying to do. But first thing's first...copyright.

revolutionary thoughts,
am i so surprised
that an amateur has these?

when in retrospect most pros
had these same big thoughts
when they were just starting out

all i can say about me
is that i enjoy
writing replies in haiku

Default Win and Win Some More

If you are an unknown, getting a book published is next to impossible, especially in the poker realm where every 'professional' has a book with the same info found in these forums and elsewhere.

Use your 'new' ideas to win big cash at poker, then the publishers will call you, simple as that.

hm, on second thought, maybe when he says play poker like a pro, he just simply means a new method to play. cuz everyone knows FTPS motto is learn chat play with the pros, so maybe he has some new online poker idea. either way i doubt it works lol.

LOL never doubt someone because of their supposed lack of experience...Look at Einstein...at age 5 he began using his curiosity to dabble with new things and next thing you know, he's a world renowned genius and winner of the Nobel prize...How much experience can one have in life at only age 5?? lol So, Buildmo, if you believe in your idea, pursue it. You just never know until you try...

Yes, everyone should do what they feel and chase any opportunity desired.

But I would wager Albert was ahead of the curve even at the age of 5. His thought patterns at age 5 could not be matched by 99.9% of all humans that ever lived at any age. The guy was a pure thought machine with one special brain. He did not grow or turn into a genius, he was and always will be one.

Thanks,

Agreed, but I know you know what I meant. If someone believes in something or wants something bad enough, I say by all means chase your dream. I mean, you know, you only live once, right?

Default yuk yuk yuk

you have to extensively (2 years a small sample) put ur revolution to test at the tables. Otherwise, its not even blogworthy. If it works, u can pay to publish it yourself.
