Default Poker and Politics

Which of the presidential canidates are going to be the best for poker in the US? Or maybe the least harmful for poker in the US?

RON PAUL...... that's a no brainer. Ron Paul wants to cut back on the amount of government control in peoples lives. If people would take the time to look at what he is about, and what he wants to do FOR our country, I think they would be pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately many people automatically dismiss him because he's not one of the good ole boys that plans on doing politics as usual. Any other candidates publically support the PPA? Just take a minute to read up on Ron Paul. We don't have to choose the lesser of 2 evils anymore! It's time for this country to finally make a change for the good of the people, not the politicians.

Ron Paul is out of the picture now though. The front runner for the Republicans, John McCain, is about a 50-50 shot. He is friends with the Chairman of the Poker Players Alliance, former congressman Alphonse D'Amato. However, he also has an alliance with John Kyl, one of the U.S. Senators who was instrumental in the passing of the UIGEA.

On the Democratic side, Barack Obama probably would be the best shot. He is known to like playing poker but has expressed concern over the internet becoming a "wild, wild West". Hillary Clinton has stated that she woud look into whether the industry can be fairly regulated.

Here's some good info on all the canidates: http://www.pokerplayersalliance.org/...le.php?DID=466

Thanks for the link.

Has the poker players alliance endorsed a candidate? Can the alliance donate money to a campaign?
