Default Are The UK Government Being Hypocritical?

I am not sure how the government can pretend to be the "champion of the people" by attempting to curb online funding of gambling, then issue more casino licences?

Is it a coincidence that a reduction in online gambling would make the governments new casino licences more valuable?

Or am I being a little harsh?

Eh, that sounds like a bit of a conspiracy theory, but I can see where you are coming from. It's surely not unusual to be cynical of the government, in any country. Everyone's got an agenda, after all.

I see where you are coming from. I'm a big cynic myself. I think that there is always a reason behind why something is done, besides the "public" reason, so I am not at all convinced the legislation was passed to protect people.
