Ladbrokes Joins Microgaming Early 2009

Labbrokes has announced that they will move to Microgaming Network early 2009, to ensure more action to their players. Ladbrokes is already licensing their software from Microgaming, so the transition should be easy for existing players.

From ladbrokesplc.com:

Ladbrokespoker.com is to set to join the Microgaming poker Network, one of the world's leading poker networks, to ensure more action for its players in tournaments and certain cash games.

Ladbrokespoker.com already licenses Microgaming's poker software, so Ladbrokes' customers will notice little change to the site when it begins operating within the Microgaming Poker Network from early 2009.

Commenting on the move John O'Reilly, Managing Director, Ladbrokes Remote Betting and Gaming said:

"Joining the Microgaming network will give our players more action on a wider variety of games, particularly at higher staking levels. Microgaming is a leading network and will offer Ladbrokespoker players faster access to th games they want. We will continue to operate outside of the network on tables where we already offer players the level of action they demand."

Ladbrokespoker.com will continue to provide its customers with high levels of customer service and a unique experience through world-leading poker events, tournaments and promotions such as the Ladbrokes Poker Million, World Series of Poker packages, the Ladbrokespoker.com European Ladies Championship, Ladbrokes European Online Championship of Poker, Ladbrokes Poker Cruise and Ladbrokes Irish Poker Festival.

Ladbrokes in now part of Microgaming Network.

Quote:
Leading online poker site Ladbrokes Poker has become the latest member of the Microgaming Poker Network, joining a global network of over 40 leading gambling domains with thousands of players.

Online poker room DoylesRoom.com recently announced that it had left Microgaming’s Poker Network for the Cake Poker Network after the former requested that its license holders deny access to US-based players.

However, Microgaming stated that the seamless integration of Ladbrokes Poker onto its Poker Network would allow players to benefit from a familiar environment while also taking advantage of better value, more choice and increased action across cash games, sit and go’s and scheduled tournaments. The Isle of Man-based firm revealed that players would also see improved multi-table tournaments and a first-rate qualification schedule for offline Ladbrokes Poker events.

'Players will notice little difference to the service; they will remain Ladbrokes customers and can still use all the Ladbrokes features including three-dimensional poker,” said Edward Ihre, Managing Director for Ladbrokes Poker.

“The benefits will be that we can offer a greater range of game types and levels as well as the availability of games in Euros for the first time.”

Ladbrokes Poker has used poker software from Microgaming for over six years while also utilising its award-winning software to power its online casino. Microgaming stated that the agreement further cements this long-standing relationship and marks a clear commitment from both companies to deliver the most engaging interactive gaming experiences to players.

“We are delighted to welcome Ladbrokes to the Microgaming Poker Network,” said Roger Raatgever, Chief Executive Officer for Microgaming.

“Access to the network will allow new and existing Ladbrokes players access to a far wider range of compelling table action and fun filled gameplay.”
