Backgammon books
Played a couple of times Backgammon now and got instantly hooked. That game defenetly has more to give than i thought. At least very fun way to kill time. It seems that there are relatively few books written about Backgammon which are worth of reading. Could anyone recommend a book with a more deep strategic kind of view to the game than those which just goes trough the basic rules, odds and strategies. So, if you have read any good bg books put those reviews here now!

Try Backgammon for Serious Players by Bill Robertie. I found the book very instructional for an intermediate player. On the negative side, I was annoyed by the incredibly large amount of typos, from the "about the author" page througout the book, there is a typo or a diagram error almost on every 2-3 pages.

I used to play that game back years ago.. and really the only hints i can tell you about the game is practice the game contstantly and you will become an expert. also there are some free backgammon games online where you can go and practice. good luck. and yes it is a pretty good game! |
