I know some Sony fan boys, are very excited about the PS3 and its powers. But personally I think it is going to be a failure. I think Microsoft made a smart move about releasing the 360 out sooner, and keeping it still in a reasonable price range. Although, $60 for games is ridiculous. What are your thoughts?

You know, I kind of feel the same way as you with the 60$ a game crap.. There arent many games that I feel are worth 60$, so I figure I'm going to be waiting until either people come to their senses or the price of a game I'd really like to play drops to a price im willing to pay for.. in my opinion, the biggest mistake on both their parts will be not including a hard drive or onboard flash ram, etc.. I loved the hard drive on my xbox, and it was way underutilized.. As far as PS3 vs. xbox 360, im still holding out ofr a PS3 myself, mostly because I hate Xbox live and dont feel I should have to pay an additonal subscription because I want to play my games online.

I really would like to get a PS3 but I don't know that I am up to waiting in the lines overnite again like I did to get the PS2. I am also not impressed with how much the price has gone up. I am not really sure that anything that they could do would make it worth $600 or more.

I was just at Circuit City the other day and they were setting up the display for the PS3. When is it supposed to be coming out? At one point I knew but there has been so many date changes now I am unsure of myself. I would like to get one when they come out but I am not sure that I will be able to get my hands on one without camping out in a store all day the day before they come in.

It will be impossible to get a PS3 without camping out. They delayed their production just to drive up demand. It would have been nice if it was released in Japan first, because then we'd be getting the updated version. I'm not sure if the $600 will be worth it, but it does include a lot of great stuff. The Blu-Ray DVD player makes it much more appealing.
