| do you love marijuana? or atleast support the use of marijuana? then register to vote and help us legalize marijuana vote for Rep. Barney Frank. we need all the pot smokers to join together and vote. just don't get too high u forget to vote. |

| This post sounds oddly familiar. |
| ||||
| Who is Barney Frank???? People have been talkin about legalizing pot forever. I still don't think it will ever happen, and it would take a lot more than one state representative to accomplish it. Besides it's not like it's hard to find, and probably wouldn't be any cheaper if it were legal. |
| ||||
| I don't smoke it, but to each their own. The only concern I would have with it being legalized is that I work in an industry where heavy mechanical equipment are used in very close proximity. I wouldn't want someone high on pot operating that equipment around me. I think general safety reasons, especially in the work place, are why they don't legalize it, because other than that I can't see why it would be a real big issue.

| Just because it would be legalized doesn't mean people would be allowed to be under the influence while in the work place... I mean, you can't go to work in most places while under the influence of alcohol, so I would imagine marijuana would be the same. I still don't know that I fully support the legalization of marijuana, but that's another issue. |
| ||||
| Well of course I understand that, but it would make for a lot more in the case of workman's comp and OSHA issues. Just as drinking isn't allowed in the workplace, people still come in hung over from the day before, and although the alcohol is pretty much out of their system, they still feel the after-affects, and that would be a concern of course with pot as well. I don't disagree with it being used for medicinal purposes, but at the same time, anyone who has to take it for such reasons would need some sort of supplemental income supplied to them, as they would not be coherent enough to work and take the medicine. This would open up a whole new can of worms with regard to unemployment or supplemental income in and of itself. Legalizing it for any reason would be a lot more difficult than people might imagine, due to all the massive changes that would have to be made to all laws, not just the ones for the work place.

| Second this question, except I'm not sure it's legal in Holland, but definitely in Amsterdam. |
| |||
| Amsterdam is strange. It's legal to USE there, but not GROW there. I'm pretty sure that's how I understood their laws to be. They don't have too many problems now, but they did initially experience a myriad of problems when they first legalized a lot of things. |
