Default What is your favorite browser to use?

I have been trying out a few different ones. My good old standard is still Internet explorer. I have tried Fire Fox and it is ok I like being able to have mulitple tabs and screens going. I have heard about Crazy browser but I haven't tried before. Does anyone have a favorite that you prefer over the others? Does one browser work better on gaming sites?

I prefer to use Internet Explorer. I have tried Crazy Browser and I really like it. It is easy to use and I don't have to go through trying to configure a lot of stuff. Plus I like the tabs too. It is a toss up at times. I use Crazy Browser when I surfing multiple sites.

I've been using Firefox for a few years. Switched over from IE because of the multiple security issues, and also fell in love with tabbed browsing. The new IE should include tabbed browsing though. Have to try it out at some time.

In case anyone is interested, here is the list of browsers that rakeback.com visitors use:
  1. Internet Explorer 64.15%
  2. Firefox 30.05%
  3. Safari 2.19%
  4. Opera 2.09%
  5. Netscape 0.92%
  6. Mozilla 0.51%
  7. Konqueror 0.06%
  8. Camino 0.03%

It's surprising how few are using Netscape.

Firefox is based on the Mozilla codebase, and its development is coordinated by the Mozilla Foundation.

Firefox has been my choice for years. It's defenetly the most user friendly browser I have so far tried and I tried many. I have to use IE at work and I really hate having many windows open at the same time.

I have heard a lot of good things about the up coming new IE version though. Have to chk it out and I'm happy to move on from Firefox if somebody really makes a better browser.

The think with firefox is that it is very good for keeping viruses and trojans out of your computer. This is specially good if you don't have a firewall or an anti-virus program installed. firefox encripts your cookies and net files so most viruses just don't work. The downside is that the formatting on many sites still look wrong in firefox and there are some flash vids and pics that it just wont load. Internet explorer is really bad. It lets all the pop-ups through and almost welcomes viruses and trojans. I don't know why microsoft hasn't updated explorer. Its really vulnerable.

I say get firefox and if you cant see something on a site just open it in explorer. but use it as your default.

isn't it possible that microsoft is the one making these viruses so that their partner companies can make their anti-virus programs hit the market??

No that that is likely, but it is possible. lets take a quick look at microsoft's selling strategy in the past. Xbox. Pretty neat console. But it could work BETTER with the $300 dollars of random accesories that are needed. Standard consumer computer, Pretty neat, Except Microsoft word is in 30 day trial and you need to purchase that along with all the other microsoft programs for your computer to even begin to be useful. they like to sell incomplete packages at what sems to be an affordable price to then jock it up on the accessories to compensate. It really is possible, though I don't know how they would get away with it.

well, that may be their marketing strategy...if they sell everything in one package they will earn less...

well... if microsoft suddenly goes bankrupt for reasons like their programs are no longer functioning as well as they used to, then I guess Donald Trump would get the title of richest man in the world...

the thing that irks me about Microsoft more than anything is there refusal to set what are to me acceptable prices for their products.. and, more annoying than that, their prices never drop.. a video game for xbox, its price drops over time so that eventually, the price of the game hits a price point at which more people are willing to buy it, but this never happens with their OS like it does with most other things in the computer world.. either you buy it at its first and only price point, or you don't buy it..

you mean whatever year we buy a windows 98 OS for example, we'd still pay full price of it when it was sold all those years ago?!?!

When I first started using the internet I just used IE. But until, a friend of mine showed me Fire Fox I had no clue there was different Web Browsers. I now only use Fire Fox unless the site doesn?t run properly, then I will use IE for that site.
